Retirees need a voice and representation to protect their interests and benefits. Chapter 48 and Sub-Chapter 36 give us a voice at the local level. The AFSCME Retirees Association represents us at the national level. There is strength in numbers and our large membership means more recognition from the Common Council, legislature and policy makers. Chapter 48's official name is the Milwaukee Retiree Association Retiree Chapter 48 AFSCME. All retirees and spouses from the various employers who participate in the City of Milwaukee Pension Plan (ERS) are eligible for membership. This includes former management, union and non-represented retirees and their spouses. Read more >>>
